Agricultural Economics is the journal of the International Association of Agricultural Economists.  The journal serves the IAAE by disseminating some of the most important research results and policy analyses in the discipline from around the world.  Coverage includes the economics of agriculture in its broadest sense, from food consumption and nutrition to land use and the environment, at every scale of analysis from households to markets and the macro-economy. Available on Wiley platform.

The African Crop Science Journal, is a quarterly publication which publishes original research papers dealing with all aspects of crop agronomy, production, genetics and breeding, germplasm, crop protection, post harvest systems and utilisation, agro-forestry, crop-animal interactions, information science, environmental science and soil science. It is bilingual (publishing in either English or French).

 

 Agricultural Systems is an international journal that deals with interactions - among the components of agricultural systems, among hierarchical levels of agricultural systems, between agricultural and other land use systems, and between agricultural systems and their natural and social environments. It is published by Elsevier and is availble on Science Direct

 

Applied Soil Ecology addresses the role of soil organisms and their interactions in relation to: agricultural productivity, nutrient cycling and other soil processes, the maintenance of soil structure and fertility, the impact of human activities and xenobiotics on soil ecosystems and bio(techno)logical control of soil-inhabiting pests, diseases and weeds.

Animal Behaviour is published for the Association for the Study of Animal Behaviour in collaboration with the Animal Behavior Society. First published in 1953, Animal Behaviour is a leading international publication and has wide appeal, containing critical reviews, original papers, and research articles on all aspects of animal behaviour. Book Reviews and Books Received sections are also included. Published by Elsevier and available in Science Direct.

Accessing UG resources off campus

Note that, while on campus databases are easily accessible. You do not need username/password to access UG journal databases while on campus except for AGORA and OARE.  However, you do need to register for off campus access to be able to access all other databases when you are not on campus or are using your own mobile device for Internet access.

To register for off-campus access, follow these steps:

  1. Go to http://library.ug.edu.gh
  2. Click on Off- campus access to E-resources
  3. Click on Register for off-campus access
  4. Fill the form that appears and submit
  5. Take note of your chosen username/password which you will require, to login after you are authenticated.

Note that all those who want to access HINARI must first register for off-campus access and subsequently use that username/password to get into HINARI whether on campus or off-campus.
